Let their ages of A and B be 7x and 5x respectively.

Ten years later, it'll be 7x + 10 and 5x + 10.

 7x + 10 : 5x + 10 = 9 : 7 \\ \\ \frac{7x + 10}{5x + 10} = \frac{9}{7} \\ \\ \\ 7(7x + 10) = 9(5x + 10) \\ \\ = 49x + 70 = 45x + 90 \\ \\ \\ 49x - 45x = 90 - 70 \\ \\ = 4x = 20 \\ \\ x = \frac{20}{4} = 5 \\ \\ \\ 7x = 7 \times 5 = 35 \\ \\ 5x = 5 \times 5 = 25

∴ The present ages of A and B are 35 and 25 respectively.
