The present ages of a father and his daughter is x years and y heard respectively.Three years Hence father will be three times as old as his daughter.7years ago he was seven times as old as his daughter.Find their present ages?

Sub eqn 1

3 x - 1  = 7 x - 49

x = 12

y = 42
