Let the original price of sugar be x/kg.
.: New price is x+x/5= 6x/5 Rs. perkg
She gets 1 kg for 6x/5 Rs.
So by spending x Rs, she will get
x/(6x/5)= 5/6 kg. of sugar.
Now 1 -5/6= 1/6 kg. So she gets 1/6 kg less.
Now 1/6×100= 50/3 = 16.67%.
So, she has to reduce her consumption by 16.67%.
Hope this helps.
