Let think that first a house older bought 100 kg of sugar in Rs 100
Bit now 100kg og sugar can be bought in Rs 125
In Rs 125, he bought= 100kg
In Rs 100 , he can fetch= 100/125×100= 80kg of sugar
Reduction in consumption= 100-80= 20/100×100= 20%
Hope it help ☺
