Flourine on reaction with cold and dil alkali leads to the formation of OF2 while with hot and conc it leads to the formation of O2

The reaction involved is

F2+KoH ~ OF2+KF+H2O(cold & dil)

F2+KoH ~ O2+KF+H2O(Hot & conc)
