volume=πr^2h. _ (1)
r:h=5:7
let the common multiple be X
r=5x , h=7x. _(2)
from (1) and (2),
550=π(5x)^2 ×7x
=22/7 × 25x^2 × 7x
=22×25×x^3
X^3=550/(22×25)
X=1
from (2),
r=5x=5×1=5cm
hope this answer is helpful.

AnswEr:

Let the radius of the base and height of the cylinder be 5 x and 7 x cm respectively. Then,

  • Volume = 550 cm³

POINTS TO BE REMEMBER :

1. Use, r = 5x

2. H = 7x

3. Volume = πr²h

________________________________

 =  \sf \frac{22}{7} \times  {(5x)}^{2} \times 7x = 550 \\  \\  \sf =  \frac{22}{7}   \times 25 {x}^{2} \times 7x = 550 \\  \\  \sf = 22 \times 25 {x}^{3}    = 550 \\  \\  \sf = 550 {x}^{3}  = 550  \implies {x}^{3}  = 1\implies \: x = 1

Hence, radius of the cylinder

= 5x cm = ( 5 * 1 ) cm = 5 cm
