Answer:

Cost of painting = 20064 Rs

Step-by-step explanation:

As we know that Curved surface area of Cylinder is given by

2\pi \: r \: h

Area of lid

 = \pi \:  {r}^{2}  \\  \\

The area which has to be painted

 = 2\pi \: r \: h + \pi \:  {r}^{2}  \\  \\  = \pi \: r(2h + r) \\  \\

r= 28 cm

h= 100 cm

 =   \frac{22}{7}  \times 28(2 \times 100 + 28) \\  \\ =  22 \times 4(200 + 28) \\  \\  = 88(228) \\  \\  = 20064 \:  {cm}^{2}  \\  \\

Now the cost of painting is 1 rs per sq-cm

So, total cost to paint the area 20064 sq-cm is 20064 Rs

Hope it helps you.
