Solution :

The radius of the circular field,

                                     r = 35 m

Now, the area of the circular field

   = πr² m²

   = π * 35² m²

   = 1225π m²

Given that, the width of the path is 5 m

Now, the radius of the circular field along with the path around it

  = (radius of the circular field) + (width of the path)

  = 35 + 5 m

  = 40 m

So, the area of the of the circular field along with the path around it

   = π (40)² m²

   = 1600π m²

Thus, the area of the path

    = (the area of the circular field along with the path around it) - (the area of the circular field) m²

   = (1600π - 1225π) m²

   = 375π m²

Thus, the cost of levelling the path at Rs 5.50 per m²

  = Rs (5.50 * 375π)

  = Rs (5.50 * 375 * 22 / 7)

  = Rs 6482.14

here is your answer

Given,

refer to the attachment for diagram

radius of circular path = 35m(OA)= r 1

radius of the outer path = (35+5) m

= 40m(OD) = r 2

Area of circle =πr^2

Now, area of the circular path

= >area of circle with radius OD-

area of circle with radius OA

=> π(r 2)^2 - π(r 1)^2

=> π {( r2)^2 - (r1)^2}

=> π{(40)^2 - (35)^2}

=>π( 1600- 1225)

=>π( 375) m^2

NOW,

cost of levelling per square meter path =

Rs5.50

hence, cost of levelling (375)π square meter path

=(375× 5.50×22)/7

=> Rs6482.142

Hence the total cost is Rs 6482.142 for labelling the path.

hope it helps
