the radius of earth is about 6400km and that of Mars is 3200km. the mass of the earth is about 10 times of mass of Mars.if an weight is 200N on the surface of earth calculate weight on surface of mars?

6400/3400=2
then we multiple 2*10

g on earth = G 10×m/ (R)^2
= G m/R^2 × 10.
g on mars = G m/(R/2)^2
= G m/R^2 × 4
g on earth: g on mars
= G m/R^2 ×10 : G m/R^2 × 4
= 10 : 4
= 5: 2
therefore g on earth = 5/2 g on mars

weight on earth = m × g of earth
200 = m × g of earth
200 = m × 5/3 g of mars

weight on surface of mars = m × g of mars
= 200×3/5
=120 N
