height of water = H = 10cm = 0.1m
length = L = 70m
width = W = 44m

V(roof) = LWH = 70*44*0.1 = 308 m^3

(ii)
r = 14m
h = increase in height of water in tank
The tank is cylindrical so
V(tank) = πr²h = 196πh

The increase in volume in the tank is equal
to the volume of water that falls on the roof
V(tank) = V(roof)
196πh = 308
h = 308/(196π) = 11/(7π) ≈ 0.50 m = 50cm
