Ratio of their salary = 9:4

Let salary of A = 9x and of B = 4x

when salary of A increase we get,

Salary of A = 9x (1 + 15/100) = 5175

9x (115/100) = 5175

9x = 5175 * 100 / 115

9x = 4500

x = 500

So salary of B = 4x

4(500) = 2000

Therefore salary of B is Rs. 2000.

Hello Dear.

Here is the answer---

→→→→→→→→→

Let the Salary of A and B  be 9x and 4x respectively.

If the Salary of the A increases by 15%, then new salary will be,
= 9x + 15% of 9x
= 9x + 135x/100
= (900x + 135x)/100
= 1035x/100

According to the Question,
1035x/100 = 5175
 1035x = 517500
    x = 517500/1035
    x = Rs.500

∴ Salary of A = 9x
  = 9 × 500
  = Rs. 4500

∴ Salary of B = 4x
  = 4 × 500
  = Rs. 2000

Thus, the Salary of B is Rs.2000.

Hope it helps.
