The ratio of circumference to the diameter of the circle c/d is represented by
\pi
but we say that
\pi
is an irrational number.why?​

There only one reason behind this that is

what ever the circumference and diameter value we will take that is approximately not perfectly. That us why the we will think that πis rational but it is irrational.

Answer:

The circumference and diameter are rational so their quotient is also rational i.e pi. We take this relation to find the value of pi for calculation purposes. Not for finding it as rational or irrational
