It is given that , the ratio of income to the savings of a family is 9:2 .

Thus,

Let, The monthly income = 9x

and the monthly savings = 2x.

According to the question;

The monthly income of the family is

Rs. 27000

Thus, we have;

=> 9x = 27000

=> x = 27000/9

=> x = 3000

Thus,

The monthly savings of the family

= 2x

= Rs. 2•3000

= Rs. 6000
