Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 ( l + b )

Assumption:

Let the dimensions be x, so that

Length = 7x

Breadth = 4x

Solution:

Rs. 75 = 1 metre

Rs. 16,500 = 16,500 / 75 = 220

Perimeter of the rectangle is 220 sq.m

Perimeter = 2 ( l + b ) = 220

Perimeter = 2 ( 7x + 4x ) = 220

Perimeter = 11x = 220/2 = 110

Perimeter = x = 110/11 = 10

Answer:

Length = 7x = 7(10) = 70 m

Breadth = 4x = 4(10) = 40 m
