Heya !!!

Let the present age of A and b Be 9X and 4X.

Three years ago age of A = ( 9X - 3 )

And,

Three years ago age of B = ( 4X - 3 )

According to question,

9X - 3 : 4X - 3 = 3 : 1

9X - 3 = 3 ( 4X - 3 )

9X - 3 = 12X - 9

12X - 9X = -3 + 9

3X = 6

X = 6/3 = 2

Present age of A = 9X = 9 × 2 = 18 year's

And,

Present age of B = 4X = 4 × 2 = 8 years.
