∵2nd vehicle covers 72 km in 2 hours
∴ 2nd vehicle covers 36 km in 1 hours e.g., speed of 2nd vehicle , V₂ = 36 km/h
Let the speed of 1st vehicle is V₁
A/C to question,
speed of 1st vehicle/speed of 2nd vehicle = 2/3
V₁/V₂ = 2/3
⇒ V₁/36 = 2/3 ⇒V₁ = 36 × 2/3 = 24 Km/h
Hence, speed of 1st vehicle is 24 km/h
∴ 2nd vehicle covers 36 km in 1 hours e.g., speed of 2nd vehicle , V₂ = 36 km/h
Let the speed of 1st vehicle is V₁
A/C to question,
speed of 1st vehicle/speed of 2nd vehicle = 2/3
V₁/V₂ = 2/3
⇒ V₁/36 = 2/3 ⇒V₁ = 36 × 2/3 = 24 Km/h
Hence, speed of 1st vehicle is 24 km/h

Let V be the speed for the first vehicle and V2 for the second vehicle.
V1 : V2 = 2:3
Speed = Distance / Time
V2=72/2=36Km/h
Using the ratio of their speeds to get V1 we have:
2/3 × 36=24km/h
Speed for first vehicle =24Km/h
V1 : V2 = 2:3
Speed = Distance / Time
V2=72/2=36Km/h
Using the ratio of their speeds to get V1 we have:
2/3 × 36=24km/h
Speed for first vehicle =24Km/h
