x/y=2:3
x=2y/3
(x+8)/(y+8)=10:13
(2y/3+8)/y+8=10:13
13 (2y/3+8)=10y+80
(26y/3)+104=10y+80
104-80=10y-(26y/3)
24=4y/3
y=18
on putting in above equation
x=2y/3
x=2*18/3
x=12
