Hi,

Here is your answer !
____________________________

Given that

Ratio of water and milk is 4:3.

Let the common multiple of ratio be x

Then,

Water quantity = 4x litres

and milk quantity = 3x litres

When 4 litres milk is added
then milk becomes ( 3x + 4 ) litres

According to the question,

4x : (3x + 4) = 4 : 5

4x/(3x + 4) = 4/5

4x × 5 = 4 × (3x + 4)

20x = 12x + 16

20x - 12x = 16

8x = 16

=> x = 2

Therefore,

Water quantity = 4x = 4×2 = 8 litres

Milk quantity = 3x = 3×2 = 6 litres

Ratio of water and milk = 4:3

Let, water = 4x
Milk = 3x

==================

When 4 litres added yo milk, ATQ,

 \frac{4x}{3x + 4}  =  \frac{4}{5}  \\  \\ 20x = 12 x + 16 \\  \\ 20x  - 12x = 16 \\  \\ 8x =   16 \\  \\ x =  \frac{16}{8}  \\  \\ x = 2

Then,

Milk = 3x=3(2) = 6 litres
Water = 4x =4(2)=8 liters

I hope this will help you
