Yes Universe is accelerating as for example take Earth it's rotational period for one day was 21hours now it has decreased to 24 hours.
And yes!!!
Universe is expanding day by day as each molecules divide into atoms each atoms into quarks and further into gluons and also day by day the temperature is increasing and everything is expanding instead of contracting a bit and a bit of fun here the people of this Universe are also expanding due to the more intake of junk food!!!
