Length of lawn =30m

Breadth of lawn =28m

Therefore,

Area of lawn (A )=l×b=30×28=840m 2

Now,

Length of lawn including path =30+2+2=34m

Breadth of lawn including path =28+2+2=32m

Therefore,

Area of lawn including path (A )=34×32=1088m 2

Therefore,

Area of path =A 2 −A 1

=1088−840=248m 2

Cost of levelling =Rs.5 per square meter

Therefore,

Cost of levelling path =5×248=Rs.1240

Given :

Length of a rectangular rose garden is = 25m

Breadth of a rectangular rose garden is = 8m

Area of a rectangular rose garden is = 25*8 = 200sq.m.

A/Q-

Area of a garden with Path = (25+3) *(8+3) = 28*11 = 308 sq. m.

Now, subtract the area of a rectangular Rose garden with path to get the answer.

308 - 200 = 108sq.m.

So, the area of the path is 108sq.m.
