We know,n = c/v
where, n=refractive index of the given medium c=the sped of light in vacuum and v=the speed of light in the given medium.
Refractive index of water and glass are 4/3 and 3/2 respectively.
For glass 3/2=Speed of light in air / speed of light in glass
32=Speed of light in air2×108
So, speed of light in air=3×108 m / s
For water , 4 / 3= Speed of light in air / Speed of light in water
4 3 = 3 × 10 8 Speed of light in water So , Speed of light in water= 2 . 25 × 10 8 m / s

Explanation:
3/2=c/2×10^8
=3×10^8
nw=c/v
4/3=3×10^8/v
=2.25×10^8
