It is quite true the rich and the powerful can be immortalized in statues and monuments but it is the acts of kindness which leave behind a legacy. When in the long past, Ozymandias was such a mighty king in Egypt, he was so high-handed and arrogant of his power, wealth, and valour. He thought nobody could defeat him. He won many wars against his adversaries also. He got his statues built throughout his kingdom so that people would look at his works and shudder. However, his glory lasted only a few years. He became old, weak, and finally died. He was so sad at the approaching death. All his wealth, victories, and pride could not save him from the claws of death!

On the contrary man can immortalize himself with his good deeds of kindness and compassion. Great prophets, messengers of God such as Jesus, Kabir, Baba Farid, and many more like them made themselves immortal through their great deeds. So, in place of getting statues built, one should do great deeds.

King Ozymandias thought that he was rich and powerful and world revolved around him he boasted his might and scorned others he even challenged the mighty and powerful people of the world but after his death his power and glory was forgotten.

His statue decayed and was surrounded by barren land.

This proves that nothing can make a man immortal except o his good deeds.
