Given info : The rod of unit length is moving at 30° through a magnetic field at 1 T. if the velocity of rod is 1 m/s.

To find : the induced emf in the rod will be given by,

solution : induced emf is given by, ε = Blvsinθ

where B is magnetic field, l is length of wire, v is velocity of wire and θ is the angle made by moving wire with magnetic field.

here , B = 1 T , l = 1 m , v = 1 m/s and θ = 30°

so, ε = 1 × 1 × 1 × sin30° = 0.5 V

Therefore the correct option is (C) 0.5 V
