The structures built by the rulers of Malwa and Mandu are among the best Indo Islamic structures.
Most famous among those were Dilawar Khan Mosque which was the earliest Indo Islamic building and it also served to fortify the city. Then it was the Mausoleum of Hoshang Shah. it is among the most important of the structures as it has been suggested that it served as a template for the construction of Taj Mahal.
Jahaz Mahal, the pleasure place of Ghiyas Ud Din Shah is also a notable structure. It is also known as the the Ship Palace. Inside the Mahal wa a Harem of 15000 women. It was also used as water storage tank during the monsoon season.
