The same amount of current flows through the connecting wire and the bulb gilament. However it is only the filament that glows why?

Same amount of current flows through the filament and the connecting wire but thefilament glows because filament is made of tungsten which has high resistance and emits light on  heating whereas connecting wire us made of cu or al which has low resistance because of which they are good conductors. Hence filament glows and connecting wire doesn't
