Since we are given that The shadow of tree is √3 times its height

Length of shadow = √3h

To Find angle of elevation of sun we will use trigonometric ratio

In ΔABC

tan\theta = \frac{Perpendicular}{Base}  

tan\theta ^{\circ} = \frac{AB}{CB}  

tan\theta= \frac{h}{\sqrt{3}h}  

tan\theta= \frac{1}{\sqrt{3}}  

\theta= tan^{-1}\frac{1}{\sqrt{3}}  

\theta =30^{\circ}

Hence the angel of elevation is 30 °
