Hello Friend !

The answer is given below :

Let the sides of the rectangle be :

Length, l = 4x cm

Breadth, b = 3x cm

Then, we know that the area of the rectangle is given by :

⇒ A = l × b

⇒ 108 cm² = 4x cm × 3x cm

⇒ 108 = 12x²

⇒ 9 = x²

⇒ x = 3 (Taking square root on both the sides)

Therefore, the sides of the rectangle becomes :

Length, l = 4x = 4 × 3 = 12 cm

Breadth, b = 3x = 3 × 3 = 9 cm

Now, we know that the perimeter of the rectangle is given by :

⇒ P = 2(l + b)

⇒ P = 2(12+9)

⇒ P = 2 × 21

⇒ P = 42 cm

Therefore the perimeter of the rectangle is 42 cm.

Hope this helps !!!
