SolutioN:-

We know that all the sides of a triangle sum upto its perimeter.

So,

Let the sides be 5x, 6x, 10x.

=> 5x + 6x + 10x = 42

=> 21x = 42

=> x = 42/21

• x = 2.

The sides are:-

1. 5x = 5 × 2 = 10 cm.
2. 6x = 6 × 2 = 12 cm.
3. 10x = 10 × 2 = 20 cm.

VerificatioN:-

=> 10 + 12 + 20 = 42

=> 42 = 42

• LHS = RHS.

Hence verified ✔.

The sides of the triangle are:- 10 cm, 12 cm, 20 cm.
