The sound waves, collected by the pinna are changed as vibrations. How do the process occur?

Actually they are not change. sound is vibration. pinna helps in collecting and the vibration hits the ear drum which is very sensitive part. And then ear drum transfer vibration forward.

Sound waves are generally collected in our outer ear which is otherwise known as pinna.

Even they also travel down our ear canal and strike the eardrum, causing it to vibrate.

Inner ear plays also changes the vibrations which is also created by the sound waves into electrical impulses, or signals.
