One day I was walking in the park .I was tired and saw a big shady mango tree. I sat down under the tree and was feeling sleepy. Suddenly someone called my name. I woke up with a start! I could not believe what I saw!
I found the spirit of the tree standing in front of me. It said, ‘Hey man of earth, I am here to warn you; your fellow men and women have violated the contract that was made ages ago. Your kind has forgotten the contract. Your kind has been butchering my brothers and sisters for ages. Not that it is going to affect us! The real loss is coming your way!", said the voice. More bewildered than before, I asked the spirit," What loss? I don't remember having signed any contract with trees!”
‘Hey, it is the contract of life! You have forgotten! God made us responsible
for each other; I am your life provider, and you were to take care of me! My
responsibility is bigger than yours! You and your kind have been unfair to me
and my kind. I am here to warn you. Do your bit of responsibility, otherwise
the time is coming very fast, when you and your kind will die of lack of pure
oxygen’, saying this the spirit of the tree vanished.
I found myself under the same tree. I got up and made a
resolution that I would wage a war against all those who harmed trees in any
manner.

One day while I was walking in the park I got tired and thought of taking a nap under a big shady mango tree that I came across waking a while taking a stroll. I sat under the tree and then suddenly when I was feeling sleepy I heard my name being called it is then I realized that I fell asleep as soon as got under the tree. I woke up startled when my name was called and couldn’t believe my eyes after what I saw!
The tree’s spirit was standing there in front of me and it began to say, “Hey there man! I am here to actually warn you that all of you have broken the rule, your kind have always cut down my friends and to be honest more than this affecting us it will affect you!
I asked, how is cutting down of trees going to affect us?
The tree replied your kind has broken the rule or contract of life where everybody on the earth is created by god and nobody but god himself has the right to destroy them. Your kinds were supposed to protect us because it is through us you get fresh air/oxygen. If you people don’t stop cutting us down then there will scarcity of breathing air. After saying so the tree went into thin air and I woke up in complete astonishment. But then I promised to the tree and myself that I will never harm them and act against deforestation.
