hello users ......
we have given that :
The sum of 3 consecutive multiples of 5 is 555,
we have to find :
what are the multiples
solution:-
let first multiple of 5 = 5*x
because these are consecutive then
second multiple of 5 = 5* (x+1)
and
third multiple of 5 = 5* (x+2)
now,
According to condition .
5x + 5(x+1) + 5 (x + 2 ) = 555
=> 5x + 5x+5 + 5x +10 = 555
=> 15x = 555 - 15
=> 15x = 540
=> x = 36
Hence
first multiple of 5 = 5 * 36= 180
2nd = 5 * (36 +1) = 5 * 37 = 185
and
3rd = 5 * (36 + 2) = 5 * 38 = 190 Answer
