so,

a+4d+a+8d =72

a+6d=36. ¹

a+6d+a+11d= 44

2a+17d=44:. 2

subtract first from second

2a+17d=44

+a+6d=36

multiply multiply by 2 on both side

2a+12d=72

then subtract

so d =-28/5
