Let the number be 10x+y; then,
(10x+y)+(10y+x)= 165 .....(1)
x - y = 3
or, x = 3+y ......(2)
Substituting the value of 2 in 1; we get
11x + 11y = 165
or, x + y = 15
or, 3+y+y = 15
or, 3 + 2y = 15
or, 2y = 12
or, y = 6
Then, x = 9 and y = 6.
