Solution :-

Let the ages of Karishma and Kareena be x and y respectively.

According to the question,

x + y = 34 ______(i)

x = y + 6 ______ (ii)

Putting the value of x in equation (i) we get,

y + 6 + y = 34

=> 2y = 34 - 6

=> y = 28/2 = 14

Putting the value of y in equation (ii),

x = y + 6

=> x = 14 + 6 = 20

Hence,

Karishma's age = 20 years

Kareena's age = 14 years
