A motion in which only two dimensions are required ( more specifically two axis) to understand a motion, then that particular motion is called as "two-dimensional motion". foreg. a ronaldo playing on a the field (assuming him to be a dot)

while that motion in which three dimensions (3- axis) are required to understand the motion, then it is caleed as "three-dimensional motion". for eg. a fighter plane doing disco-dance in air.
