The sum of circumferences of 4 small circle is equal to the circumferences of a bigger circle.Find the ratio of the area of the bigger circle to that of the smaller circle.

let R is the radius of bigger circle.
and r is the radius of smaller circles .
now ,
a/c to question ,
4 x circumference of smaller circle= circumference of bigger circle .
4 x 2pi. r = 2pi. R
R = 4 r
now ,
area of bigger circle/area of smaller circle =pi. (4r)^2 /pi. (r)^2 = (4/1)^2 =16/1
hence ratio = 16 : 1
