The sum of the ages of a mother and a daughter is 50 years. After 20 year mother ages will be twice her daughter ages at that time. Find the persent ages

sum of ages = 50
let the mother age = x
and daughter's = 50-x
after 2 years
mothers age = x+20
daughter age= (50-x)+20
=x+20=2(50-x+20)
=x+20=100-2x +40)
=3x=100+40-20
=3x=100+20
=3x=120
=x=120/3
=x=40
so,
mother's =40 years
daughter's=10 years
