Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

The sum of the digits of a two-digit number is 8.

The ones digit is three times the tens digit.

To Find :-

The Number.

Solution :-

Let the unit place digit number be x.

And the tens place digit number be y.

According to the Question,

1st part,

x + y = 8 .... (ii)

2nd part,

x = 3y .... (i)

Putting x's value in Eq (ii), we get

⇒ x + y = 8

⇒ 3y + y = 8

⇒ 4y = 8

⇒ y = 8/4

y = 2

Putting y's value in Eq (ii), we get

⇒ x = 3y

⇒ x = 3 × 2

x = 6

Number = 26

Hence, the required number is 26.
