LET THE NUMERATOR BE X.
ACCORDING TO THE QUESTION,
NUMERATOR + DENOMINATOR = 2 × X + 4
∴ DENOMINATOR = 2X + 4 - X
                               = X + 4
⇒ FRACTION = X/X+4
ACCORDING TO THE QUESTION,
    X+3        2
 --------- = -----
 X +4+3     3

   X + 3       2
----------- = ----
    X +7       3

3(X +3) = 2(X+7)
3X +9 = 2X + 14
3X - 2X = 14 - 9
∴ X = 5
