Answer :-

  • 7
  • -9

Given :-

  • The sum of the square of two consecutive odd number is 130.

To Find :-

  • Those numbers.

Solution :-

Let

  • First consecutive number be x
  • second consecutive number = (x + 2)

Sum of their squares is 130.

According to question :-

(x + 2)² + = 130

→ x² + 4x + 4 + x² = 130

→ 2x² + 4x + 4 = 130

→ x² + 2x + 2 = 65

→ x² + 2x = 65 - 2

→ x² + 2x = 63

→ x² + 2x - 63 = 0

→ x² + 9x - 7x - 63 = 0

→ x (x + 9) - 7 (x + 9) = 0

→ (x - 7) (x + 9) = 0

_______________________

  • x + 9 = 0

→ x = 0 - 9

→ x = - 9 or 9 [ because squares are positive always ]

  • x - 7 = 0

→ x = 0 + 7

→ x = 7

Hence, the numbers are -9 and 7 respectively.

Answer:

7,9

Step-by-step explanation:

let 2 numbers are X,X+2

x^2+ (X+2)^2

x^2 + x^2 +4x+4

2(x^2+2x+2)=130

x^2 +2x +2= 65

x^2 +2x-63 =0

(x-7)(x+9)=0

X= 7

49+81=130
