let the two rational number is A and B

A+B=58
A-B=28

2A= 58+28

2A= 86
A= 43

Therefore B= 58-43

B= 15

let the numbers be x and y
x+y=58 eqn1
x-y=28 eqn2

Add eqn1 and eqn2 we get,
2x=86
x=43

substitute value of x in eqn 1 we will get ,
y=15

the numbers are 43 and 15
