It is a very simple question.

Diesel in fuel tank = 90 litres
Diesel consumed = 48 l 500 ml = 48.5 litres
Diesel left in fuel tank = 90 - 48.5 = 41.5 l

Therefore there is 41.5 litres or 41 litres 500 ml of diesel left in fuel tank.
