The total capacity of a tank is 200 litres. At present it is 60 % full with water. Some water is taken from the tank and it is found that the tank is now 35 % full. Find the quantity of water taken.

Capacity of tank= 200l

It is filled up to = 60% of 200l

=60/100×200= 120l

Present %age left= 35% of 200l

=35/100× 200=70l

Amount of water taken out=120l-70l=50l

50l/200l×100=25% of total capacity.
