The total weight of a box of 5 biscuit packets of same size is 8kg 400 grams. what is the weight of each packet? 7.

Solution : Let weight of each biscuit packet = x grams .

Therefore , weight of 5 biscuit packets = 5x grams ------Equation 1

According to question ,

Weight of 5 biscuit packets = 8kg 400 gms

We know that ,

One Kilogram = 1000 grams

therefore 8 kg = 8000 grams

hence 8kg 400grams = 8000grams +400grams = 8400grams

Therefore , weigh of 5 biscuit packets = 8400 grams -----Equation 2

From Equation 1 and Equation 2 ,

5 x = 8400 grams

or x = 8400/5 grams

or x = 1680 grams .

therefore , weight of each biscuit packet is 1680 Grams .
