The unofficial boundary that formed at the end of World war II and divided Europe into two sections was known as the IRON CURTAIN.

The Iron curtain divided Europe into two sections from the end of WWII in 1948 to the end of the cold war in 1992. The east side of the curtain was allied with the Russia and the west side allied with the western countries.
