The  National  movement  paved  way  for  a  feeling  of  nationalism,  unity  and  solidarity.  People  started   participating actively  in the National Movement .
People came  to  know  about  the  (divide and rule) attitude  of  the  Britishers.  They   started  to  boycott  elections,  educational  institutions  and  legislatures.  And,  finally,  the  Britishers  had  to  give  democracy to Indians.
This proves that the  values inspired  the  nationalist  movements  became  the  foundation  of  democracy  in  our  country.
