v=1 m/s

let the total path lenght be s

then

v²-u²=2as

1-49=2as

as=-24

let v' be the velocity at s=s/2

so

v'²-u²=2a*s/2

v'²-49=as

v'²-49=-24

v'²=25

v'²=5 m/s
