At, v = 50 m/s, S = 100 m and at, v = 75 m/s, S = 200 m.

Now carefully observe the two instant positions 100 m and 200 m. Clearly, distance between those two points = Displacement between those two points (S) = 200-100 = 100 m.

Now, v² - u² = 2 a S

or, 75² - 50² = 2×a×100

or, a = 125/8 m/s² = 15.625 m/s²
