1) let the edge of the cube = a cm

volume(v)= a^3

a^3 = 729

a^3 = (9cm)^3

a = 9cm

2)
lateral surface area = 4 a^2
= 4* 9^2
= 4* 81
=324cm^2

total surface area = 6a^2
= 6* 9^2
= 6*81
=486 cm^2

Answer:

=> 486cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

As per the data given in the question, we have to find the surface area

Given that:-

The volume of cube = 729cm^3

To find:- Surface area,

As we know that, the formula

The volume of cube = a^3

By putting the given values we get,

=>729cm^3=a^3

=>\sqrt[3]{729}=a

=>a=9cm

The formula of the surface area of a cube,

=> 6a^2

=>6\times (9)^2

=>6\times 81

=> 486cm^2

Hence, the surface area is 486cm^2.
