The volume of a substance is 25cm cube and it's mass is 100g. Density of water is 1.00g\cm, will the substance will sink or float in water

Answer: The substance will sink in the water.

Explanation:Volume of substance(v)=25cm cube

Mass of substance(m)=100g

Density of  substance=Mass of substance÷Volume of substance

Density of  substance=100g÷25cm cube

Density of  substance=4g per cm cube.

∴ If any substance is denser than water, it is able to sink in water and not float.
